Area Sales Manager - Heatrae Sadia

(Location coverage – LE,CV, NN, MK & LU)


A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for an Area Sales Manager to join our UK Sales and Distribution function. The main purpose of the role is to develop increased levels of Heatrae Sadia and Megaflo business in the distribution sector, by developing sales and maintaining new and existing relationships within the national and independent, merchant and wholesalers, in the appointed areas.


In line with the company’s ‘Value Based Selling’ strategy, develop increased levels of business demand with regional developers, social housing and plumbing  & heating, mechanical & electrical contractor sectors by developing strong sustainable relationships. Identify new market sectors where value added selling can be applied, forging strong sustainable relationships within all areas of Heatrae Sadia business. Support and grow the Megaflo installer rewards initiatives with merchant trade events, hospitality and installer activities. Ensure KPI and regional sales targets are achieved supported by key accounts and specification activity


Key areas of responsibility include:

  • To manage customers, accounts and engage with colleagues in a manner consistent with Heatrae Sadia’s mission, vision, objectives and values.
  • To achieve growth in line with budgeted volumes, KPI’s and targets within the UK Sales & Distribution sector.
  • To support the business sales function in targeting, developing and executing sales of the Heatrae Sadia range into a wide and diverse customer base in line with the Heatrae Sadia sales structure.
  • Develop strong business relationships within the merchant management structure incorporating a strong emphasis on estimating offices. Following all subsequent sales leads and updating all necessary reports through to fruition is an essential part of the role.
  • To champion the promotion and secure sales of Heatrae Sadia products through enhancing the value added selling proposition to maximise profit for each individual sale.
  • Regularly report to the NSM against key objectives and activities against business plans.
  • To produce a business plan and core customer call strategy, in conjunction with targets set for the specified area by the NSM to include new business opportunities within all market sectors.
  • Feedback of information to the NSM on activity within the Distribution sector, in particular details of a commercial and performance nature.
  • To work closely with the specification & corporate team to record and follow up all activities included on the CRM, project and opportunity trackers.




  • Takes a personal responsibility for the safety of self and others and does not put either colleagues or customers at risk.  Takes care when driving, does not drive tired and plans routes to ensure that appropriate rest breaks can be taken.  Observes road safety and speed limits at all times.
  • Assesses the risks when in new environments and takes care to understand and follow safety rules when outside of normal business environment (i.e. construction/building sites or other factories).
