We have an excellent opportunity at our Bamber Bridge site for an Assembly Supervisor to join the team. The successful supervisor will supervise the a team of production operators to ensure production targets, tasks and activities are achieved in a safe working environment free from hazards and to the agreed quality standards.

 

Assembly Supervisor role responsibilities include:

  • Organising local resources (people, plant, processes and parts) to enable the achievement of correct volumes, quality levels, budget and performance targets.
  • Drive and manage Health and Safety within the workplace; demonstrating best practice behaviour and leading accident and incident reporting and investigation. Drive a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Effectively manage the day to day performance of the operators to ensure maximum productivity and efficiency.
  • To manage operators effectively and when necessary, to apply the appropriate disciplinary measures in line with current company rules.  

 

Assembly Supervisor desired skills and experience:

  • Experience of managing large teams, preferably gained within a manufacturing environment.
  • Effective day to day people management skills such as absence management, team leadership and engagement, performance management and training.IT literate, familiar with the Microsoft Office suite.
     
  • An ILM 3 qualification in Supervisory Management (or equivalent) would be advantageous
  • Ideally qualified to IOSH standard in Health & Safety and can apply the learning in the workplace.
     
  • Knowledge and application of Business Improvement Techniques i.e. LEAN Manufacturing, Problem Solving (5Y) Root Cause Analysis
