The Role: An exciting position for a new Business Development Manager within our  Specifications team is now available. Reporting to the Divisional Sales Manager your main role will be to Establish and maintain contact at all appropriate levels with all identified Local Authorities, Housing Associations, Regional Developers, Contractors and other associated specifiers. To gain specification of Baxi Heating group products primarily the Potterton & Heatrae Sadia brands within these channels.  To use these contacts and specifications to facilitate the targeted business levels and profitability levels as dictated by the company.  To negotiate levels of contract support with the appropriate sector contact In order to secure the order.

Key tasks:

  • Develop and agree with DSM your specification sales targets and business plan.
  • To develop market awareness and formulate strategic sales targets
  • To drive sales of boilers and cylinders across a multi brand products solution.
  • Maintain a project pipeline to achieve desired sales volumes.

Knowledge and Experience:

  • Experience within a consultative B2B Specifications Sales environment
  • A proven track record of establishing and developing an area and contact base
  • Have a good understanding of the structure of developers & social housing landlords
  • Professional selling and negotiation style, self organised, assertive and confident
  • Knowledge of supply chain within a contracts sales environment
