A new and exciting opportunity has arisen within Baxi Customer Support based in Warwick for a  Data Analyst, reporting to the Business Systems and Data Manager.  Your main role will be to analyse and interpret data in order to provide Strategic Insights, to facilitate the delivery of world class customer service and to develop the commercial potential of data. You will support the business by creating new & ongoing reports to optimise and improve operations and strategy.


Some Key Tasks include:

  • Complete complex data analysis with a variety of purposes for the business, including increasing knowledge on the operation or customers and reviewing marketing campaigns.
  • Making recommendations for operational improvements based on the results of analysis.
  • Provide new & ongoing reporting to support operations and strategy across the business.
  • Provide accurate and filtered customer & marketing information on a timely basis for customer campaigns.
  • To perform ad-hoc analysis of data in order to find the root cause of problems. Including thinking of new, inventive ways of using currently available data to answer new questions.
  • To support in the specification and testing of new Business Systems and processes.


Knowledge, skills and experience required:


  • A high level of numeracy and the ability to extract and analyse data from disparate systems. Experience of communicating the processes of complex analysis to an audience with varying levels of understanding.
  • The ability to use MS Excel to a very advanced level (including pivot tables, array formulas and index match).
  • The ability to use MS Access to an intermediate level. 
  • Experience with quickly picking up a role in a new business or with new systems.


  • Experience with Power BI (or equivalent visualisation tool), SQL Transact, Cognos BI.
  • Experience with data governance and implementation of data governance.
  • Experience within a customer service environment and experience in an operational role.
  • Experience with marketing campaigns, customer data, parts data and stock data.
