We are looking for an enthusiastic and well-motivated individual to join Sales Team as an Area Sales Manager, covering EX, PL, TA, TQ and TR. 

The main purpose of this role is to establish and maintain contact at all appropriate levels with National, Independent merchants, Electrical Wholesalers and One-Off Installers within specified territory. Alongside creating demand and increase Baxi Heating Ltd’s share of the product portfolio within the residential one-off sector.

As an Area Sales Manager, you will:

  • Work with existing installers to increase share of wallet, whilst targeting new installers for acquisition and ensuring the retention rate of existing business is maintained / increased.
  • Work within and to a set of KPI’s that systematically build loyalty from the installer base within the territory delivering increased sales volume and profitability as set by the business each year.
  • Achieve sales budgets for the territory that have been set by the business each financial year.
  • Work within and to achieve the KPI’s set by the business each financial year.
  • Build effective trading relationships across the customer base of National, Independent merchants, Electrical Wholesalers and One-Off installers within the territory.
  • Maintain their own promotional budget reporting on a monthly basis to their Divisional Sales Manager spend to date, future committed spend and variance to budget.
  • Monthly presentation to the Regional Sales Manager and team colleagues of their trading area demonstrating variance to budget, last year, Works and installer training KPI performance against target.
  • Understand and consistently exceed our customers expectation/requirements with a high level of quality communications, discussions and support.
  • Build strong and effective trading relationships with all stakeholders at branch level of National, Independent merchants, Electrical Wholesalers and One-Off installers.
  • Maintain all customer records through the company’s CRM system, whilst recording your own holidays, installer training days all within timelines set by the business.
  • Complete effective sales presentations to installers, distributors, merchants and influencers based on a solution selling approach both verbally and digitally.
  • Build strong and effective trading relationships with colleagues around the business.

Knowledge, skills and experience required:

  • GCSE level 2 or 3, Higher National Certificate or Higher National Diploma within a specialist subject.
  • Demonstrate competency with Microsoft packages of CRM, Word, Excel, Power-point and overall IT skills.
  • Excellent communication and numerical skills.
  • A proven track record of establishing, developing and maintaining a territory and customer base should be able to be demonstrated.  
  • Experience of external sales and the sales process of listening skills, selling on features and benefits, adding value, overcoming objectives and influencing skills is a prerequisite of the role.
  • Proactive approach to enhancing product knowledge, time management, sales presentations and other professional sales skills to enable personal development.
