Full time – 40hrs per week



The Role:

As Field Logistics Coordinator you will provide assistance and support to all engineers with regard to their vehicles, tools, stock deliveries, and training. It is critical to the business that engineer down-time is minimised to ensure maximum operational capacity. 

All Field Service Engineer Skills & Training records are managed and reviewed regularly to ensure required capacity.

Engineer Recruitment Administration is also an important part of this role, arranging interviews with our recruitment and field management team.


Key Responsibilities include:

  • To ensure that all Baxi Customer Support vehicles are correctly maintained, serviced and road worthy 
  • Vehicle Safety Checks
  • Vehicle Allocation
  • Ensure downtime of vehicles is kept to a minimum wherever possible.  In the event of any issues its imperative that engineer downtime is also minimal and replacement vehicles are sourced in accordance to our policy.
  • Monitor costs associated with downtime repair and hire costs.
  • To identify and build relationships with third party repair agents and suppliers.
  • To work closely and build relationships with the Field Management Team, ensuring good communication for resolution of problems.
  • To work closely with forward planning and the planning team to minimise engineer down time.
  • Data inputting/Admin
  • Scheduling Engineer Training
  • Gas Safe Registration/Riddor Reporting
  • Field Compliance
  • Fuel reports
  • Engineer Recruitment


Knowledge and experience


  • Microsoft Access


  • The jobholder should have a good telephone manner and excellent communication skills are required. A working knowledge of MS Office software essential, specifically Microsoft Excel.  
  • The jobholder should also have a full driving license, and feel comfortable driving a transit-sized van if required
  • This role requires the job holder to be a team player and a ‘people person’ who thrives on engaging with others to obtain results. Focus on delivering first class customer service is essential as well as a passion to supporting and developing team members to aid performance improvement.


The Person:

We are looking for an individual who has the ability to work under pressure whilst still being able to complete tasks set out in a calm and efficient manner.  The individual needs to feel comfortable in managing their own workload in a timely manner.

You will not only be logical minded but also have the capability to become more creative or inventive to solving problems that may occur. 

Hours of work are 40 hours a week, 8:00am – 5:00pm Monday to Friday

External: Repair Agents, Leasing Company, Carriers, Training Centres, Gas Safe Register, Recruitment Agencies, Candidates.


Internal: Liaising with Engineers, Stock Control, Field Compliance, Forward Planning, Field & Office Operational Teams
