Fixed Term Secondment – 12-18 month duration

Opportunity has arisen for a newly defined position to support overall management of UK company car fleet at Baxi Heating UK.

This important position will involve several key focuses including, management of our third party provider(s) and efforts to reduce overall costs. Ensuring we have legal and tax compliance in terms of administration and P11Ds and supporting the UK Finance function with ad hoc indirect procurement activities and associated administration as required.

 As a Fleet Manager you will have the ability to:

  • Manage third party company car provider in terms of SLAs
  • Support tendering exercise in 2020 – possible move to another provider or rationalise
  • Review and re-writing current company car policy
  • Produce suitable guidelines for driver safety, compliance and responsibilities
  • Working with the HR Director on new rules – e.g. introducing an excess insurance cost
  • Managing driver e-learning and Drivetech training based on data & accident analysis
  • Producing data with Head of SHE for Exec review (costs, accidents, repairs and safety).
  • Ensure cost reductions for third party spend, reduced accident repairs and leasing costs
  • Implementation (if appropriate) of driver behaviours analytics e.g. mobile devices use
  • Follow up post accidents/incidents with SHE - identify high risks and provide actions.
  • Ensuring all administration of the company scheme is in place e.g. licence checks
  • Support Co Secretary on annual insurance renewals
  • Support Tax Accountant with accurate data for P11D purposes
  • Support HR SSC Manager to track company car data, drivers and licence information
  • Offer guidance to contracted drivers on the best ways to maximize their earnings, while delivering a high level of customer service.
  • Support efforts to reduce our carbon emissions in a cost effective way.
  • Support the HR Director in conversions of company cars to allowances where applicable.
  • Supporting UK Head of Indirect Procurement with ad hoc procurement activities/admin.


Essential qualifications and experience:

Previous experience of creating policies will be advantageous supported by a basic health and safety knowledge. Your influencing skills will be apparent and problem solving, decision making will be evidencable from your career to date. Ideally you may have also managed 3rd party services as part of your previous or current responsibilities.   

This superb management opportunity will include a reflective basic salary and benefits. Please note the expected duration for the secondment will be 12-18 months.
