We have a new and exciting opportunity to join the Baxi Heating UK Innovation team, reporting directly to the UK Head of Innovation / Commercial Director for Aftersales.  We have been on a journey developing a culture of innovation based on a customer centric approach using fast experimentation in order to learn and inform our thinking. We are now looking for an experienced insight & innovation practitioner to lead the next stage of our journey and to head up our newly developed Innovation Programme and Connected Products project.

In this role you will…

  • Lead the innovation team and own our innovation process in order to ultimately deliver an investible pipeline of new connected products and services for Baxi.
  • Be accountable for the design and delivery of the innovation strategy.
  • Take a user-centric approach to innovation – customer first, always.
  • Deliver robust experiments that allow fast learning.
  • Keep up to date on technology trends, customer needs and disruptive business models in order to inspire our work.

To make a difference you will…

  • Be passionate about all things digital and IoT.
  • Be excited about designing and delivering the next stage of our innovation strategy this will include identifying fresh insight, generating new ideas, running experiments in order to exploit new business opportunities.
  • Have at least 7+ years innovation experience and a proven track record of launching new digital products and services to market.
  • Be an experienced design thinker and lean start up practitioner comfortable with agile methodologies.
  • Be a strong mentor passionate about upskilling and coaching a team of four direct reports. Inspire the team to do their best work in a fast paced environment subject to ambiguity and change.
  • Able to navigate a complex internal network of stakeholders and able to work with senior decision makers within the UK and at an international Group level.
  • Be a compulsive connector with a strong diverse external network that you will be able to leverage to shape our innovation agenda.
