Internal Sales Manager



A fantastic opportunity has arisen within  Baxi  in Warwick for an Internal Sales Manager.  The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring high quality and effective management of all internal sales-related processes and the impacts on the full “Quote to Cash” process, maintaining accurate customer & pricing information in CRM & ERP systems, effective handling of customer orders, quotations and returns, whilst also ensuring the timely resolution of all customer queries.

Additionally, the role will improve customer experience in a strategic manner, capitalise on revenue opportunities through innovative improvements and be the main focus of contact for external sales personnel, the senior commercial team and internal and external customers.

Main purpose of the role:

  • With others, lead, develop and deliver a Quote to Cash strategy for all Baxi Domestic brands and products
  • Deliver processes that exceed internal and external customer expectations
  • Devise, communicate and implement a suite of reporting metrics for all cross functional activity of Quote to Cash, to include accountability charter and corrective action framework
  • Work closely with existing, internal & external customers
  • Play a key part in customer success, through effective strategy, planning and improvements
  • Effective management and delivery of annual price increase processes
  • An ‘ownership’ and right first-time mentality.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders (Supply Chain, Logistics, Finance, External Sales)
  • Define and track quarterly performance goals, evaluate progress, adjust and report to SLT
  • Work with UK and Group teams in the ongoing development of Microsoft Dynamics CRM, Streamline SAP implementation and future system changes
  • Develop and retain a high-performing, highly engaged team, with a positive attitude
  • to change management
  • People Management activities which involve:
    • Manage appraisals and the setting of SMART targets for the team and individuals.
    • Monitoring team performance to meet agreed targets and behaviours.
    • Build flexible, committed teams of multi-skilled personnel.
    • Effectively plan and utilise available resource to meet response targets.

Knowledge, skills and experience required:

  • Very strong communication skills – verbal and written – for internal and external parties
  • Commercial acumen and good numeric skills
  • Analytical and able to derive insight from data
  • Strong leadership and team management experience
  • Be a strong influencer and good engagement skills to manage senior stakeholders
  • Strong collaborative approach with ability to bring people together to deliver a common goal
  • Ability to act with limited oversight on day-to-day basis, balancing multiple priorities.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to distil complex strategy into actionable recommendations
  • Coaching and mentoring
