An exciting vacancy has arisen within our Quality team for a Quality Project Lead to join the team. Reporting directly to the Line Manager, the main purpose of this role is: The Quality Project Leader (QPL) is the independent conscience of the project and responsible for securing the customers (internal and external) interests and ensuring a flawless execution of new product launches through use of appropriate quality tools and techniques during the NPD process. The QPL will provide the single point contact interface between the Hot Water and Solar Solutions (HW&SS) BDU and relevant quality functions covering all BDU Quality activities including: BDU Project Quality delivery, Legacy BDU product improvement and Monthly BDU reporting.

As a Quality Project Lead, you will:

  • Lead Quality activities from initial notification from the BDU with completion of the launch readiness review and Planisware updates to drive right first-time approach
  • Collaborate with project and technical managers to actively manage the risk to ensure that projects comply with the targets and values of the organization
  • Ensure core teams evaluate all activity needed to develop, using the rules prescribed by the NPD process, a project that complies and delivers to objectives and meets the Voice of Customer demands.
  • Partner with Project managers to ensure clear communication of real time project status ensuring data driven decision making to hold the business to account
  • Ensuring robust processes and system are developed by the appropriate functions to manufacture world class product
  • Working closely with Plant Quality to ensure all internal PPAP activities are completed on time


Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and credible and confident influencer.
  • Ability to think laterally and logically
  • Working knowledge of core tools APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, R&R, Cpk , FMEA and control plan
  • Read and work with technical specifications (GD&T)
  • Experience of completing launch readiness reviews, system development, and layered audits
  • Be self-motivated and able to work collaboratively with others
  • Able to demonstrate a hands-on approach
  • Project management experience
