We are looking for an enthusiastic and well-motivated individual to join our Specification Sales team as a Regional Specification Manager. The main purpose of this role is to focus on the top line operational management, continual and consistent coaching and mentoring of Specification Managers to create an effective, efficient and professional specification team as well as budget/financial responsibility for their designated region.

As Regional Specification Manager, you will: 

  • Set, review and be responsible for the regional budget/forecast. 

  • Support and coach the individual team through regular 1-2-1 sessions. whilst also managing a larger team to ensure an overall team performance.

  • Set, drive and review Key Performance Indicators for their respective teams.

  • Create and build dynamic working environment to enable fast paced market changes.

  • Personal development and coaching, identifying areas of opportunity using Sales Enhancement tool.

  • Gather information from the team and wider sources identifying market trends/area performance to high-light areas for focus and growth to gain market share, identify new business opportunities and product development opportunities.

  • Have top line accountability of customer satisfaction within their region.

  • Build and drive the territory strategy for each BAXI brand to ensure value added services to our customer base to become the brand of choice.

  • Strategic key account management of customers to deliver incremental growth and market share.

  • Recruit, develop and retain employees in your region. 

  • Gain strong relationships internally with other senior members of the wider business and central functions to deliver the over-all business strategy.

  • Organise regional events – both customer based/internal sales meetings.


Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required: 


  • Extensive experience within a technical and engineering discipline. 

  • Proven track record of delivering lead generation and sales across multiple channels and multiple market segments.

  • Experience of senior level negotiation and dealing with conflict.

  • Ability to use mathematical concepts, to create solutions for presentation and implementation to a non-technical audience.

  • Highly numerate, ability to turn data into information and action.

  • Ability to understand and interpret the market, products and services.

  • Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills.

  • Broad knowledge of UK Construction markets and routes to market.

  • Excellent all-round communicator, possessing strong electronic, written and oral communication abilities, with ability to communicate at all levels.

  • Worked across multiple market segments and applications in the construction industry.

  • Knowledge/understanding and ownership of government framework agreements (NHS, MOJ, DOD).

  • Line management experience and proven track record of developing a team.
