Sales Office Manager


An exciting new vacancy has arisen within the Sales team at Wokingham for a Sales Office Manager, reporting directly to the Commercial Finance Director.  The main purpose of this role is to be responsible for all our back office, sales related processes, from the CRM system, quotations, order processing, handling customer queries to resolving invoice queries and managing a team..

As Sales Office Manager, you will:

  • Lead and deliver a Quote to Order process that exceeds internal and external customer expectations.
  • Design and implement the new processes of all quote-to-order process, including user documentation.
  • Identify areas of improvement to increase accuracy, completeness and/or consistency and implement solutions in process, policy, and overall operations of the Quote to Order process
  • Technical and process specialist on all business processes and systems.
  • Address day to day blocking issues that may arise through teams and present both short term and long-term solutions to resolve the root cause of these issues to the business.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders (Supply Chain, Logistics, Sales etc) on a regular basis, to enhance service and optimise the customer journey.
  • Define and track quarterly performance goals for the team, evaluate progress, adjust and report to Senior Leadership team.
  • Work with UK and Group teams in the ongoing development of Microsoft Dynamics CRM system.
  • Develop and retain a high-performance team, and guide and coach the team through periods of constant change.

Knowledge, skills and experience required:

  • Extensive experience managing people in a B2B Product Sales Office environment.
  • Confident with data and ambiguity; able to delve into the detail/operational tactics and engage relevantly on the big picture or overall strategy.
  • Strong Team Leadership and Project Management skills, with the ability to mobilise teams towards a common goal.
  • Ability to act with limited oversight on day-to-day basis, balancing multiple priorities.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to distil complex thoughts and strategies into simple, actionable recommendations.
