A fantastic opportunity has arisen within the Specification Sales team for a Specification Manager to join the team.

Reporting into the Regional Specification Manager, the main purpose of this role is to build demand for Baxi Heating’s product ranges in the following postcodes: KT, TW, SW, W, NW, SM, CR, GU, RH and BN.

Specification Manager, in more detail:


  • You will have an organised and pro-active approach to managing sales activity for the company within a defined sales territory.
  • You will be able to deliver the territory budget and build the project pipeline.
  • You can meet and exceed all KPI’s outlined by your Regional Specification Manager.
  • Be able to identify added value opportunities across Baxi’s diverse product portfolio.
  • You will manage day-to-day activities, reports and communications.
  • You will be able to retain and grow current business whilst increasing the overall level of sales within your defined territory through pro-active development of new business
  • You will be expected to identify and develop new customer relationships as well as managing existing accounts.
  • You will be presenting CPD’s and other customer presentations and attending events to raise the profile of Baxi in the commercial sector.
  • You will create awareness of products and systems solution with specifiers.
  • Able to forecast demand and identify trends, by having close relationships with key customers and decision makers.
  • Accurately provide detailed consultations with Design Engineers and Contractors.
  • You will negotiate and manage the needs and expectations of our customers.
  • You will be able to provide a range of information including CAD/BIM objects, technical reports, information on regulations, test certification, installation guides, pricing and availability.
  • You will have a proactive approach to enhancing product knowledge, time management, sales presentations and other professional sales skills to enable personal development
  • You will be able to complete and record information on future projects ensuring a solid pipeline of opportunities are in the sales funnel documenting all this activity on CRM.


Ideal knowledge, skills and experience required:

  • Previous experience in technical sales and account management roles.
  • Comprehensive understanding of heating systems, controls and designs.
  • In depth knowledge of the market, Baxi Heating’s products and their application, health and safety standards, environmental considerations and quality requirements.
  • Excellent computer skills, including knowledge of: Windows, Microsoft Word and Excel.
