An exciting vacancy has arisen within our Commercial team for a Specification Manager to join the team in Ireland. Reporting directly to the Commercial Manager, the main purpose of this role is to to build demand for their product ranges, particularly our Heat Pump proposition by promoting awareness of the long-term benefits. In this role you will be strategic and follow business plans to create lasting relationships, within the Irish Construction sector.  This will include Local Authorities, County Councils. Housing Associations, Property Developers, Main Contractors, and Consulting Engineers.

As a Specification Manager, you will:

  • Be organised, have a pro-active approach to managing sales activity for the company within the Republic of Ireland
  • Deliver the territory budget and build the project pipeline
  • Meet and exceed all KPI’s outlined by your Commercial Manager
  • Identify added value opportunities across Baxi’s diverse product portfolio with particular focus on Heat Pumps.
  • Manage day-to-day activities, reports and communications
  • Retain and grow current business whilst increasing the overall level of sales within your defined territory through pro-active development of new business
  • Reducing the focus and thus importance on price – By adding value, through stronger business relationships, you will encourage customer loyalty and reduce the focus on price
  • Demand creation – by creating awareness of products and systems solution with specifiers
  • Forecast demand and identify trends - by having close relationships with key customers and decision makers
  • Providing detailed consultations with Design engineers and Contractors
  • Negotiating and managing the needs and expectations of our customers
  • Aiming to influence the buying decision
  • Providing a range of information including CAD/BIM objects, technical reports, information on regulations, test certification, installation guides, pricing and availability
  • To ensure all Health and Safety procedures and current guidelines are upheld


Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required:

  • Technical background (Heat Pumps), a heat pump qualification and have previously worked in technical sales and/or account management roles
  • The ability to work on multiple projects at different stages, at the same time.
  • The ability to build effective relationships with both internal and external colleagues.
  • Have a proactive approach to enhancing product knowledge, time management, sales presentations, and other professional sales skills to enable personal development
