We are looking for an enthusiastic and well-motivated individual to join our Internal Sales Team as an Specification Specialist. The main purpose of this role is to provide pre-sales product specification advice on a range of finished products sold by Baxi Heating UK; boilers, cylinders & water heaters.

Specification Specialist, in more detail:

  • Using a system integrated quotation package, CPQ, provide professional, accurately priced quotations to a range of customers; merchants, contractors, surveyors – ensuring the Baxi Area Sales representative is copied in on any potential prospect
  • Proactively promote the Baxi Heating portfolio of products where the opportunity arises
  • Effective management of sales tasks assigned by Baxi sales reps in CRM – to include the timely raising of parent & child quotations in response to new opportunities.
  • Effective management of all enquiries submitted through the specifier inbox, adhering to a 24hr response SLA
  • Work closely with product management and R&D to ensure the timely update of incorrect, or out of date information held on technical documentation
  • Collate and relay information on spikes in calls relating to specific product queries
  • Respond to all enquiries providing accurate information and support to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Provide exceptional customer service when answering calls received via the specification line, adhering to Baxi SLA’s on answer time and quality
  • As part of an ongoing development programme to multi skill all the product related internal sales roles, actively research the Baxi product range for boilers, cylinders, water heaters and spares.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of sales order processing tasks to ensure cover at peak times.
  • Complete all sales associated administration tasks with efficiency and in a timely manner

Knowledge & Experience Required:

  • Proven experience in an internal sales-based role.
  • Able to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Customer focused, with excellent communication skills.
  • Strong positive attitude always looking for the best possible outcome/solution.
  • Be able to demonstrate excellent organisation and administration skills.
  • Works well under pressure individually or as part of a team and can meet tight deadlines.
  • Is analytical with the ability to demonstrate good problem-solving skills.
