POSITION: TECHNICAL ADVISOR – TIER 3

FULL TIME Warwick Based

An opportunity has arisen for a Tier 3 Technical Advisor within the Baxi Customer Support Technical Department, for a conscientious and enthusiastic team player. The successful candidate will be responsible for responding to technical enquiries. Based within the Warwick office, your main responsibilities will be to provide Technical Support on all Baxi Products including our Heatrae Sadia range. You will also recognise plan opportunities for better customer experience and reduce un-necessary call-outs

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES 

  • Dealing with enquiries from all product user groups.
  • Ideally you should have a background in the domestic heating or gas industry.
  • Experience of fault diagnosis would be an advantage.
  • The job holder would possess a City and Guilds in gas fitting / plumbing, NVQ or equivalent. Knowledge of renewable technologies will be an advantage. Applicants with transferable skills from other technological / engineering / electrical fields would be considered.
  • A sound knowledge of British Standards, Gas Safety Regulations, Building Regulations and Gas Safe requirements is essential.
  • The job holder is delegated to take full responsibility for responding to technical enquiries. In addition it is necessary to understand the operation of the Service function in order to determine when it may be appropriate to resolve issues by reference to another area within  the business.
  • All technical staff are required to work 40 hours a week within a shift rotation, which are Monday – Friday 8am – 8pm and currently one in five Saturday’s (This could be paid as overtime or day in lieu the following week). Shift Patterns will be reviewed and are subject to change, in line with business requirements.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • City and Guilds in gas fitting / plumbing, NVQ or equivalent. Knowledge of renewable technologies will be an advantage.
  • A sound knowledge of British Standards, Gas Safety Regulations, Building Regulations and Gas Safe requirements is essential
  • Good interpersonal skills are required with the ability to work under pressure.  Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential together with basic keyboard competency.
